Mont Blanc
It started with a bang... Sounds really nice, but this time due to thunderstorms.
We had just arrived at the large car park for Mont Blanc. Hiding us among the other campers who were just as unwilling as us to pay for an expensive campsite. And then the floodgates of heaven opened otherwise. Hail, thunder, storm and whipping rain were served up in a very short time.
Then it was all about finding snacks and music in the car while we waited for the weather gods to behave properly again.
Fortunately, they were in a good mood after a few hours.
A friendly Englishman who worked for the cable car company recommended that we start as early as possible - there was a certain pressure of expectation when the adrenaline junkies had missed half a day. Up and ready with tickets at 07:00 along with a crowd of adventurous (and unwashed) people.
Epic people – doing epic stuff.
The landscape was large, steep and deeply impressive – we will return to this again. The amount of really cool outdoor / action sports practitioners makes it super entertaining. They are too crazy!!
